This pot is hand built with sprigged and carved spiral decoration. The form of the pot is based on Early Bronze Age Jugs (~2200 BC from Philia in Cyprus). (See Cyprus Museum for an example) The decoration is based on this jug from Phaistos in Crete. This style of jug always reminds me of birds and I carved my pot with abstract eyes and wings.
