Dimensions: 300 x 250 x 100 mm
Materials: Recycled rubber and found objects
2010

This small backpack is mainly made from recycled bicycle inner tubes. They have been stitched and woven onto a plastic frame. The diamond shaped decoration on the front is an Intel Pentium chip from 1993. The cogs are recycled from an old laser printer and have been painted with enamel paints. There's a few cir-clips, eyelets and other bits from my magpie collection in there as well.

The handle and straps are an almost complete tube. Tire patches have been used to reinforce the attachment points. The pull tab on the zip is the valve from one of the tires.

The lining is plastic made from ironing together plastic shopping bags.
